Things to do
Rifugio Chiadinas is a haven for walkers, cyclists, bikers, star gazers, flower enthusiasts or overall nature lovers.
At the end of summer you can hear the belling of deer and admire breathtaking sunsets.
The trails nearby vary is difficulty.
Our suggestion
Trail n.154, Anello Crostis. This walk is neither excessively challenging nor too long (approx 2:30/3 h) and has amazing scenery from an altitude of 2000 mt.
From the peak of Mount Crostis (2250 mt), which you will reach in 40 minutes starting from our lodge, you can admire the majestic mountain duo Coglians - Capolago (2780 mt, the highest in Friuli). From there you carry on until you reach the peak of Mount Pezzacul (2176 mt), finally making your way back to our lodge, descending from the mule track that comes to an end at the Crostis mountain cottage.
The walk can be extended by walking from the peak of Mount Pezzacul to lake Taront towards Casera Taronton then back to Rifugio Chiadinas, walking along the dirt road (approx 4:30/5 h)
This walk is suitable also for non experts, children and dogs.
Another worthwhile walk is the one on the path that connects Rifugio Chiadinas and Rifugio Marinelli, via trail n.174.

Last but not least, on Mount Crostis you can also fly!
